  • Golden Temple, Amritsar

    The Harmandir Sahib also popularly known as the Golden Temple is a prominent Sikh Gurdwara located in Amritsar. The Gurdawara is not only a place of worship but a symbol of brotherhood and equality. Everyone irrespective of their cast, creed and religious affiliations can seek solace here. The upper floors of the Gurdwara are covered with gold which has lent it the name Golden Temple. The temple is adorned with exquisite gold and marble work.

    The Rock Garden of Chandigarh is a sculpture garden in Chandigarh, India. It is also known as Nek Chand's Rock Garden after its founder Nek Chand Saini, a government official who started the garden secretly in his spare time in 1957. Today it is spread over an area of 40 acres.

    Doraha Fort as it has become famous in recent times is also known as Mughal Serai or Doraha Sarai. The place shot to fame after being featured in Bollywood movie 'Rang De Basanti'. It is also referred to as "RDB Fort". Doraha Serai was built by Mughal king Jahangir for supporting Mughal caravans. Though in dilapidated condition now, it is a great example of remarkable Mughal architecture.

  • Sukhna Lake

    Sukhna Lake in Chandigarh, India, is a reservoir at the foothills of the Himalayas. This 3 km?? rainfed lake was created in 1958 by damming the Sukhna Choe, a seasonal stream coming down from the Shivalik Hills. Originally the seasonal flow entered the lake directly causing heavy siltation.
