Dadra and Nagar Haveli is a Union Territory in western India. It is set between Gujarat and Maharashtra while Dadra lies a few kilometres north of Nagar Haveli in Gujarat. Lush green forests, meandering rivers, large waterfronts, cascading waterfalls, the gentle gurgle of streams, the distant hills, a gorgeous kaleidoscope of flora and fauna, and all these belong to the serene and sylvan land of Dadra and Nagar Haveli where nature is at her best.

  • Lion Safari Park

    Vasona Lion Safari Park is a part of the Dadra and Nagar Haveli wildlife sanctuary. Located 10 kms away from the city centre, on Khanvel – Silvassa road, Vasona Lion Safari Park shares close neighbourhood with Satmalia Deer Park. This safari part was built with the mission to preserve Asiatic lions. It aims to track their breeding and offer proper food and medicines to the cubs before they could hunt on their own. The park is spread over 25 hectares of land mass is bordered by high chained walls for your safety. This park remains open all days except Monday from 9 AM to 5 PM.

  • Vanganga Garden

    The Vanganga Lake garden is also known as beauty spot of the Island Garden. The Vanganga Lake garden in Silvassa is a charming lake situated right at the entry of Dadra and Nagar Haveli. The tourists here enjoy a quick boating spree and explore the nearby vistas. One can also have a glimpse of tree line, cottages, and the authentic style jogging tracks. The garden which is connected with Central Island is in a unique Japanese style which is an attraction. The major attraction is its water spread framed with tree lines, boats, fountains, restaurants and jogging tracks. The garden is very popular with filmmakers and more than 40 Hindi hit film songs have been shot here.

  • Bal Udyan Park

    The Bal Udyan and the Mini Zoo is a famous landmark in Silvassa and it is spread across a large area. It is reachable from any part of the capital city of Silvassa. The leisurely park is filled with swings, seesaws and merry-go-rounds. It also has a beautiful garden where children can play and also visit the Mini Zoo which has various animals and birds. There is an aquarium of tropical fish also on display here.

  • Dudhani Lake

    Dudhni is about 20 km away from Silvassa. It is a large riverside by the Damanganga River. Dudhni proffers a variety of activities like water sports like jet skis, canoeing, speed boats and kayaking, hiking and also a chance to see the tribes of the area. For trekking enthusiasts, there are many treks or walks that one can undertake through the winding pathways across the thick forests. Visitors can also see how the tribes live in settlements. Trekkers are allowed to set up their tents near the banks of the river. The drive to Dudhni is very scenic and the roads are filled with bends and curves. The Madhuban Dam on the River Damanganga, is about 40 km away from Silvassa. There are plenty of water sports available here like the water scooters, aqua bikes, bumper boats, speed boats, kayaks, canoes and passenger boats.

This places is a popular tourist destination to explore the tribal culture. You can experience the life of tribal people from the region. The museum is an effort to depict and preserve the rich legacy of the tribal community. It has dolls and puppets showcasing the tribal way of life. Along with ancient tribal artifacts, photographs of tribal rituals and festival are also present in the museum.
