Kaziranga National Park
Kaziranga National Park is a protected area in the northeast Indian state of Assam. Spread across the floodplains of the Brahmaputra River, its forests, wetlands and grasslands are home to tigers, elephants and the world???s largest population of Indian one-horned rhinoceroses. Ganges River dolphins swim in the park???s waters. It???s visited by many rare migratory birds, and gray pelicans roost near Kaziranga village.

Majuli Island
Majoli is a river island in the Brahmaputra River, Assam and in 2016 became the first island to be made a district in India. It had an area of 880 square kilometres (340 sq mi) at the beginning of the 20th century, but having lost significantly to erosion it covers 352 square kilometres (136 sq mi) as at 2014. Majuli has shrunk as the river surrounding it has grown. While it is often claimed to be the world's largest river island, Ilha do Bananal and many other river islands around the world are significantly larger

Umananda Temple
Umananda Devaloi is a Shiva temple located at the Peacock Island in the middle of river Brahmaputra just opposite the office of the Deputy Commissioner of Kamrup or the Kachari Ghat in Guwahati. It was built by the Ahom King Gadadhar Singha, who was a devout Shaivaite.

Kamakhya Temple, Guwahati
An ancient Shakti Peetha, Kamakhya temple is situated on the Nilachal Hill in western Guwahati. The inner sanctorum or the garbha griha has a yoni-shaped stone filled with water located in a cave below the ground level. The temple is a renowned pilgrimage centre for general devotees as well as for Tantric worshippers. Dating back to several centuries, the temple was destroyed twice before the revised temple structure was constructed in 1565.

Kakochang Waterfalls
Cascading down furiously between the rubber and coffee plantations of Jorhat, the Kakochang Waterfalls are a magnificent wonder of nature. The main waterfall is located 13 km from the Bokakhat in Jorhat and attracts tourists in great numbers year round. Apart from providing a refreshing retreat and a great subject for shutterbugs, this waterfall gives splendid views of the ruins of Numaligarh and lush green tea plantations. Nameri National Park

Siva Sagar
A few centuries old civilizations are right here standing as a bright tourist place in Assam. Surprisingly, it was an old capital named ‘Rangpur' for Ahom kings from 1699 to 1788 AD and this is what is Sivasagar today. Hajo
The ancient pilgrim centre of Hajo finds it uniqueness in being an attraction for three religions - Hindu, Muslims and Buddhists.
At a distance of about 24 km from the city of Guwahati, Hajo adores the banks of Brahmaputra. Shrines dedicated to Durga, Shiva, Vishnu, Buddha and major Muslim saints are found all over this place, making it an important pilgrimage center for people from all these three religions. The most famous temple is the Hayagriva Madhava Mandir which also attracts Buddhists as it is believed to be the site where Buddha attained Nirvana while the Powa Mecca Mosque finds popularity among Muslims.
